With over forty years association within the fashion and beauty industry Joan Price has become one of the matriarchs of make-up in the United Kingdom. Starting out firstly as a model and then a beauty editor and PR before moving on to becoming the founder and owner of the Joan Price Face Place & beauty school.

Joan Price has been a beauty & make-up editor for the following prestigious journals: Queen Magazine, Flair, Harpers & Queen plus The London Evening Standard news paper.

In 1989 her book Making Faces was published and has appeared on countless television and radio programs.

From 1979 to 1985 she ran regular grooming sessions for British Airways ground staff and cabin crew.

Joan Price has now brought her expertise to overseeing the quality and control within the IMA and is a member of its examination board.
